Laboratory of Lower Plants
Subject: Lower plants of Siberia, estimates of their diversity.
Main objects of research: algae, fungi, lichens. Two main lines of research: floristic and phytocoenotic – study of the species composition, biology, ecology, phytocoenology and geography of algae, fungi and lichens of Siberia.
Over 2000 alga species have been found in the waterbodies of different types in Siberia. The biodiversity of macromycetes is represented by more than 700 species. Over 1700 lichen species have been found in the composition of Siberian lichenoflora.
